Team Sophie is making its mark!

Well Team Sophie is making its mark! I'll be talking with the Executive Director of the Pacific Region for the Arthritis Foundation tomorrow hopefully. She has called and emailed several times. She thinks Sophie is absolutely adorable and wants to hear all about her and her story. She is also amazed at all the support we have already received and all those joining! I'll be posting more about our conversation and what is going on after I speak with her.

Labor Day Weekend

So we had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. We started it off by taking an overnight trip to Palm Springs. Brent, Soph and I went to the Cabazon Outlets then stayed the night in the Westin Villas. Spending time with my two favorite people is the best.

Oh Heavenly Bed

Saturday we spent the evening with some of our family. Brent made his amazing pork tacos and cheese risotto. This is one of Allie's favorite things Brent makes (I think ;)). Soph was able to spend some quality time with Ky and Chase. They always have so much fun together. Mimi came over for the fun too. We only wish we were able to spend more time together.

Sunday was more low-key...I tutored sweet Katelyn, then worked out with Keri. After that I worked on stuff for school and work.

Monday we celebrated Riley's 17th Birthday and Labor Day with a BBQ. It was a full house...Brent, Soph, Mimi, Gigi, Papa, Riley, Rick, Carol, Erin, Garrett, and Kathleen. It was such a fun afternoon!

We are doing the Arthritis Walk on December 3rd in Palm Desert. We were called by the Executive Director of the Arthritis Walk a couple days ago and she wants to speak with us after seeing adorable Sophie's picture and all the people signing up so far. We are very curious what all she wants to know! I'll definitely be posting about it when we finally touch-base.

Time Just Gets Away...

All I can say is time seriously gets away from me. I am still trying to get stuff done to go back to work and have my students for the first day on Tuesday. I am also taking the last Autism class I need for my certification. On top of that I am just trying to spend time with our family and friends. I still need to update pics and fill in all we did this summer. Hopefully I'll get that done soon!

I just didn't want you to think I fell off the face of the Earth again. :) I promise I'll be updating very soon!
