What a difference a decade makes!

Well, I've seen this on many Facebook profiles. I agree...a decade sure does make a difference. There have been many sad/horrible things that have happened but also some very wonderful things as well.

Well for our family we have unfortunately lost many of our family members...the most difficult for me personally would be losing our daddy. It is hard to believe on January 17th it will be 4 years ago. Losing a parent is definitely eye opening and very life changing...especially when they are young. Luckily for our family we have also had many wonderful things happen that has helped to balance out some of the terrible things.

Just to list some of the highlights throughout the last decade:

- Brent and I have graduated college a few times ;) (2001, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008)
- Allie & Jere got married (June 28, 2003)
- I began working at Mardan School as an Assistant Teacher (September 2003)
- Allie & Jere had our niece Kylie Ann Weber (March 14, 2005)
- I survived Student Teaching (June 2005)
- We finally got married after almost a decade together! (June 11, 2005)
- We became Godparents to Kylie (July 24, 2005)
- I began Teaching at Mardan School (September 2005)
- Jen & Mike had Victoria Allen (February 27, 2006)
- Jamie & Kevin got married (November 4, 2006)
- Jamie & Kevin had our niece Natalie Paige Mullaney (November 16, 2007)
- Brent got a job for an Architecture Firm...entry level...but still a job (June 2008)
- Brent & I found out we were expecting our first baby!!! (June 27, 2008) Happy Birthday to my mom ;)
- Jen & Mike had Maverick Allen (October 30, 2008)
- Allie & Jere had our nephew Chase Terence Weber 5 weeks early (November 21, 2008)
- Jamie & Kevin had our nephew Caleb Robert Mullaney (December 12, 2008)
- Brent & I became parents finally to our first daughter Sophia Ann Cooper (March 13, 2009)the best highlight of the decade :)

We have been blessed with so many people, events, and things in our lives. There are so many I know I didn't mention, but these are the ones that popped in my head right now. We try to live everyday to the fullest and be thankful for those in our lives. We are excited to see what the next decade has in store! May all of you have a wonderful New Year! December Fun Time

Well this month has been just as busy if not more than November. We have yet again celebrated many birthdays! So Happy Birthday shout outs go to Lori, Jere, Caleb, and Brigitte.

Our nephew Caleb celebrated his 1st Birthday! Also our other nephew Chase celebrated his 1st Birthday in November, but had his party this month! So Happy 1st Birthday to our adorable nephews!! We love you!

Soph turned 9 months this month. She is so close to crawling...we wish she would just start already! I know we say that now and once she starts we will wonder why we couldn't wait! She is such a sweet and happy baby girl. We can't even imagine what life would be like without her. She has started the gagaga noises and laughs constantly! I need to record her laugh and put it on here. We need to take her 9 month birthday hat pic...but here is a pic I took today of her. We also cut her mullet off tonight. So there is a before and after pic!

This past weekend we celebrated an early Christmas with our family members who can't be with us on Christmas. Allie, Jere, Ky & Chase we had a blast in Big Bear. We hope J & Kev allow this to be our new family tradition! We took the kids sledding for the first time...well for the babies that is! There was a lot of laughter, food, and family time. It was much needed too!! Happy Holidays from our family to yours!

November...

This month has been super busy! We still have a little more to go too.

We have celebrated many birthdays this month! Happy Birthday to Josh, Gram, Allie, Natty, Chase, Jen, and Pop. We've celebrated J & Kev's wedding anniversary...Jess & Dave's wedding...we are also getting ready for Thanksgiving. Becca came to visit had a girls get together...now Julie & Krissy are coming to town this week and we will have another get together :)

Soph is now 8 months old and getting ready to start crawling. She has 2 teeth, says Mama and Dada. She is just the most amazing little girl!

We have taken TONS of pictures...and have quite a few to go ;) When this month is complete I'll create a slideshow and post it ;) For now you can find me on Facebook and there are pics already on there :)

Happy 14th Anniversary!

This has been the best 14 years of my life! Brent and I have been there for each other through so many things. Our love has never faltered...it has only gotten stronger day by day. We are having the best time of our lives now that Sophia has joined our family. May the next 80 years be as wonderful as these past 14 years. I love you Lovey! Happy Anniversary! Love always forever and a day! Chipmunk ;)

Happy Birthday Sis!

My baby sis turned 25 today! I just love her and can't believe my baby sis is 25, much less married and the mother of 2 already. Where have these years gone? She has been my best friend since she was born and I couldn't have imagined growing up without her. I love that our kids are so close in age and are so close with each other. I hope they are as close their entire lives as my sis and I are.

October Has Just Begun...

October has just begun and boy have we been busy! We are doing so many things this month. Last weekend we went to Jerry & Rhonda's wedding. I used Allie's camera for most of the pictures so I have a few from our camera on here. Yesterday we went and played at the park with Mimi, Auntie J, Natty & Caleb. It was a lot of fun and we took lots of pics. Today we went to Marley's 1st Birthday then to our friend's Madison & Allan's house. It was a lot of fun! We spent a lot of time with friends we don't get to see as often as we like. Hope you enjoy the pics from October so far. Tomorrow we are going to the Pumpkin Patch...more pics to come. Happy 6 Month Birthday Peanut!

Wow! 6 months ago today I was in labor and couldn't be more excited for our lil'peanut to join us. She has been such a joy and is always smiling! We just can't seem to get enough of her or take enough pictures! Here are a few pics I took of our lil'Peanut today for her 6 month birthday!

Lacey :)

Well...our sweet Lacey came to Cali to visit a lot of people she knows out here. We were lucky to get to see her yesterday. We haven't seen her in such a long time. It was great spending time with her and hanging out with the fam. We took a few pics ;) Enjoy! we love you Lace!

Also, yesterday was our lil'nephew Caleb's 9 Month Bday! Happy Birthday lil'man! We love you!!! He is just so stinking cuddly...he is still my cuddlebug!

August...

It has been quite the busy month. Hard to believe it is almost over. I already go back to work on Tuesday! Seriously, where did this month go?

So far this month...we went to Oahu for a week thanks to my MIL. She's amazing. We had a great time! Sophia turned 5 months while we were there. So I didn't take the official 5 month birthday hat pic. I know Laura loves those ;) I will take it though to have it for our book!

What Sophia is doing now...
- Babbles all the time!
- Very close to saying Dada...sounds like Mama when she is upset. BLAH BLAH BLAH is her favorite phrase.
- Smiles and laughs a lot.
- Eating rice cereal, regular cereal, carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, green beans, peas and sweet peas, applesauce, pears, peaches, bananas and prunes.
- She tried sorbet in Hawaii
- She ROLLED over while waiting in the airport to come home from Hawaii.
- Can't seem to figure out the rolling from tummy to back...will cry until someone flips her over.
- Her hair is getting thicker...still a little darker which confuses us considering we both has SUPER blond hair as babies.
- Loves playing with her cousins.
- Loves swimming and playing in the water.
- Loves her baths.
- Sits up about 15 seconds before touching her toes to eat them!
- Loves playing with her hands and feet.
- Whenever she sees a mirror...HAS to look at herself will smile and babble at herself.
- Loves to swing.

I'm sure there is something I'm missing, but you get the point. She has been quite the busy girl.
