Why God Made Moms...

I was sent this in an email and thought it was too cute not to post. Hope everyone enjoys it!

WHY GOD MADE MOMS

Answers given by 2nd grade school children to the following questions:

Why did God make mothers?
1. She's the only one who knows where the scotch tape is.
2. Mostly to clean the house.
3. To help us out of there when we were getting born.

How did God make mothers?
1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.
2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.
3. God made my Mom just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.

What ingredients are mothers made of?
1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world and one dab of mean.
2. They had to get their start from men's bones. Then they mostly use string, I think.

Why did God give you your mother and not some other mom?
1. We're related.
2. God knew she likes me a lot more than other people's moms like me.

What kind of little girl was your mom?
1. My Mom has always been my mom and none of that other stuff.
2. I don't know because I wasn't there, but my guess would be pretty bossy.
3. They say she used to be nice.

What did Mom need to know about dad before she married him?
1. His last name.
2. She had to know his background. Like is he a crook? Does he get drunk on beer?
3. Does he make at least $800 a year? Did he say NO to drugs and YES to chores?

Why did your mom marry your dad?
1. My dad makes the best spaghetti in the world. And my Mom eats a lot.
2. She got too old to do anything else with him.
3. My grandma says that Mom didn't have her thinking cap on.

Who's the boss at your house?
1. Mom doesn't want to be boss, but she has to because dad's such a goof ball.
2. Mom. You can tell by room inspection. She sees the stuff under the bed.
3. I guess Mom is, but only because she has a lot more to do than dad.

What's the difference between moms and dads?
1. Moms work at work and work at home and dads just go to work at work.
2. Moms know how to talk to teachers without scaring them.
3. Dads are taller & stronger, but moms have all the real power 'cause that's who you got to ask if you want to sleep over at your friend's.
4. Moms have magic, they make you feel better without medicine.

What does your mom do in her spare time?
1. Mothers don't do spare time.
2. To hear her tell it, she pays bills all day long.

What would it take to make your mom perfect?
1. On the inside she's already perfect. Outside, I think some kind of plastic surgery.
2. Diet. You know, her hair. I'd diet, maybe blue.

If you could change one thing about your mom, what would it be?
1. She has this weird thing about me keeping my room clean. I'd get rid of that.
2. I'd make my mom smarter. Then she would know it was my sister who did it and not me.
3. I would like for her to get rid of those invisible eyes on the back of her head.

So much to do...

Well, I have so many things I need to do before I go back to work on Monday! I kept saying I have time...well time is almost up! I can't believe how fast this time went. When I get back to work there is so much that will be happening and before I know it it will be the end of the year...time to move on a few kiddos that are moving up to the next classroom and a couple that are moving out of our school...then I have to start summer session. So here is some stuff I need to do at the house and for work...

Just for Today...
- Clean!
- Finish Laundry
- Make Dinner
- Grocery List (starting WW on Monday!)

Finish before work on Monday...
- Assessment Binders for each kiddo
- 2 student's IEPs
- Decide what I'm going to teach next for Social Studies
- Language Arts and Fillers

Things I'd like to finish...
- Sophia's book to this point
- Update the pictures in the house (I've printed a ton)
- Pictures to take in for my classroom
- Find Sophia's Baptism outfit


I'm sure I'm forgetting things...if I walk around the house I'm sure I'd figure out the other stuff ;)

Mommy and Sophie

I had a friend tell me to get myself into the pics with Sophie...I'm usually taking them...so last week Sophie and Mommy took some pics...I love my peanut!

Julie's visit...

When Julie came down for Easter she came to meet little Sophie! It was so great to see and visit with her. For the first time ever...she came and met our daughter...usually it is me seeing her kiddos. :) I so love our vists...miss her not being here all the time. Sopie loved meeying her and can't wait for another visit :) Thanks for the diapers and coming to visit. We miss you Julie! Love you :)

Fun at Auntie J's

Well we went to spend time with my sis, niece, and nephew while waiting for Brent to get off work. Pretty much every Friday I've had off we do this :) It is something I love doing and look forward to every week. It gives us some quality time together. This past Friday we started taking pics of the kiddos...which is something we tend to do everytime we are together, but this time we got some really cute ones. Auntie J got Sophie to smile really big!! The pics are so great and now our favorites! So below are some of the fun pics! Sophie is now 5 weeks, Caleb is 4 months, and Natty is 17 months. Enjoy!

It is hard to believe that our little Peanut is already 1 month old. We just seem to fall more and more in love with her by the minute. She is definitely a great baby. These are some of the things that she has done so far...

Visited many family and friends.
She is sleeping through the night!
Rolled over.
Gone to Disneyland 2 times already.
Gone to the park.
Gone to her cousins birthday party.
Celebrated St. Patty's Day & Easter.
Met mommy's students!
Gone to the beach.
Stayed with Mimi while mommy & daddy had a date.
Taken tons of pictures ;)

Easter 2009

Our Family


Easter was a lot of fun! We went to Easter Eve Service on Saturday with our moms. Sunday we went to breakfast at Ruby's on the Pier. Then, we went back to J's house and had an Easter Egg Hunt for Natalie...then J & Brent decided to have an Easter Egg Hunt for each other :). Next, it was off to have lunch with Brent's family. Finally, we came home and relaxed. Brent and Sophie fell asleep together while I was uploading pictures from the week. Here are a few pictures from our wonderful weekend!
